Internal DNS resolution

Hi,

I have set up my 750GL with one WAN, one LAN and one DMZ interface.

The IP addresses are assigned via DHCP. In the corresponding DHCP Server network i set my local domain with “domain.local” and in the DNS setting I set some static hostname/ip combinations.

On my PC I can resolve hostname but not hostname.domain.local.

In the DNS cache I have all the static hostnames with an A record, but also some other of them with the domain part domain.local with type unknown.

How has RouterOS to be configured to successfully resolve both, hostname and hostname.domain.local?

Someone correct me if I’m wrong…

I believe the static DNS entry option is very very basic. If you’re hoping to resolve mypc.domain.local then mypc.domain.local must be in the static list. It won’t check DHCP leases to find mypc… I wish for this feature too.
