Internet speed

I have a quick question I was wondering if I can get help with, I purchased a router model 2011UiAS RM and I have 600mbps internet speed in my home but when I connect my modem to port 1 and my computer to port 2 I can only get a max of 425 mbps. The router was removed from the box and plugged in stock. Do I need to configure anything to get my 600mbps speed? Please help.

try to enable fasttrack and see if it make a difference, in hapac2 it can go with 900+ mb with ease

Let me get this straight, you bought a router without any research, a very old model at that.
Good questions to ask prior to purchase here at the forum.

As per the below diagram the best one could hope for under ideal conditions is around 860Mbps, under 25 Filter rules its down to about 250 Mbps and somewhere between the two 42 5Mbps. Thus your results are exactly as expected and what most get out of the router.

cue the usual liars that come on that boast about 1gig speeds they get, just ignore them!

It’s just for a home network, is there a low end wired router that can be tack mounted and get close to 1 gig speeds

hapAC2

My RB4011 does great with a 1 Gb/s fiber and 300 Mb/s cable. However I’m sure some would recommend the RB5009 instead.

rb2011 is almost a decade old device, no home network can get over 400 mbps at that date

minimum recommended today is:

hAP ac²
RBD52G-5HacD2HnD-TC

I have the seam issue my total speed 500mb i can get if i connect my PC direct to Huawei 5G N5368X max router but if i connect RB5009UG+S+IN to huawei 5G N5368X max router and connect my PC to RB5009UG+S+IN with fasttrack UPD,TCP i get 200mb

You don’t have the same issue (as you don’t have an RB2011). Just create a new topic and attach your config, without any personal information (/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyoulike). That’s the only way to provide you some decent feedback.

I appreciate all the information! The only other caveat is that I am looking for something that can be rack mounted. Is there anything that would fit these narrow options that I have given?

Both the 4011 and 5009 have rack mount kits available.

If cost is the issue, a 1U rack mount shelf is $20.

If presence of WiFi is the issue, it can be turned off.

Just wondering if the CRS326-24G-2S+RM would give me 1 gig internet speeds also?

Using the very same test data source anav gave above, you’re likely to top out around 270 Mbit/sec.

CRS devices are switches first and foremost, not routers.

@quatar start your own thread and the problem is something else as the 5009 is way over kiill for 500Mbps you have other issues…

@Op,
to answer your questions
you would be okay with
HexS (caution: on the line (400-600)
Hapac2/3 - room to spare ( should get a 1 gig no problem)
RB4011 - way past 1gig
RB5009 - way past 1 gig

Thank you everyone I appreciate all your help!
