I bought my first Mikrotik Router - RB750GL (with version 5.18 of the OS) and I must confess, its quite overwhelming to a newbie.
I have searched the forums and wikis but am unable to figure the right steps to configure the following
Could you help me:
My ISP gives me a username, password and gateway ip address to connect via PPPoE.
I have connected the RJ cable to port 1.
on Port 2, I have connected my Wireless Router Aztech HW550-3G.
A) How do I enable Internet through the Mikrotik Router to the Wireless Router and from there to the laptops and computers?
B) How do I configure Firewall settings on the router?
C) I would also like to configure a good VPN service on the Mikrotik Router. What would be the configuration required for the same?
That is a lot of very beginner questions, all easily shown in the manual. I suggest you read the wiki and come back if you get stuck on any certain things.
