Invalid key when trying to install new package

Hi everyone,

I realized that my mikrotik router 732 does not have the multicast feature, therefore i tried to install the multicast package. I copied the package to the router and received this error: “Could not change the key - invalid key”.

What is the problem and how can i rectify that?

Thanks for the help.

Regards

drag the package into the files menu, not anywhere else.

Hi

is it possible to reset everything to factory default and install a new os that contain the features I wanted or something?

Hard reset or something?

Thanks

Use Netinstall or CDinstall and use latest RouterOS v4.9 all packages included and it should fix it. Key will be kept if you won’t manually reformat it, just use the official installers.
