inverted RADIUS attribute [Acct-Input-Octets,Acct-Output-Oct

Hi,

I use the same AAA server for all my hotspots (freeradius 1.1.6). however I have to different Acct-Output-Octets and Acct-Input-Octets values for my two types of hotspot: Mikrotik and Nomadix. I detect this isues because a roaming partner told me.
I supposed: Acct-Input-Octets - bytes received from the client it means the download.

So I did a test downloading the last MT firmware version: 2.9.44 (10.4 MB):

Nomadix [Acct-Input-Octets]: 12533328
Nomadix [Acct-Output-Octets]: 271598
Mikrotik[Acct-Input-Octets]: 248630
Mikrotik[Acct-Output-Octets]: 11441495

Which device is the layer? Is there any bug?

Usually the “input” and “output” counters are as seen from the access concentrator/AP/…

So “input” would be what your client is sending you, and “output” is what you are sending to your client…
