IP address 0.0.0.0??

Hi, I have a routerboard with 2 radios:

  • Radio1 as access point at 5GHz connected to other routerboard, correctly working
  • Radio2 as WDS station connected to a third routerboard as access point (2,4GHz)
    All IP addresses are set correctly.
    On wlan2 of WDS staton I correctly see the access point registered, signal 70dB; the same on access point, I see the WDS station.
    If I try to ping (from ap routerboard) the wds station, I can’t ping; the same on vice-versa.
    If I try to launch WinBox on local, I correctly see the access point (with MAC and IP addresses), but I see the correct MAC address of wds station, but IP address is 0.0.0.0.
    What’s wrong???

You need set the IP manually to interface like (Bridge, ethe1,ethe2) or get the IP with DHCP-Client if your need have DHCP-Server.

Routerboard RB112 as child of RB333 access point:
Mode = station WDS
WDS = static, to bridge1
Bridge = bridge1
Ports = ether1, wlan1, wlan2, wds1 (all running)
No WDS added manually on Wireless Tables - Interfaces
IP - Address = 192.168.83.16/24

RB333 as access point:
Mode = ap bridge
WDS = dynamic, to bridge1
the same for Bridge and Ports
IP - Address = 192.168.83.20/24

If I’m connected through laptop to RB333 and I run Winbox to search routerboards as MAC address I see:

xx:02 192.168.83.16 RB112
xx:09 192.168.83.20 RB333
xx:06 0.0.0.0 RB112

(the xx:02 is the ethernet of RB112, while xx:06 is the mac address of the radio of RB112)

P.S.
I’ve found WDS settings (static/dynamic) on a guide on internet, also to add manually WDS in routerboard working as wds station.
Are these settings correct?
