I have a bunch of wireless trango ap’s, bh’s, and other wireless ap’s by other companies including MT. The all the equipment is setup on a 10.x.x.x block ip address. All the units have a set gateway of 10.1.1.1 which has been put into a MT router we have. We use MT as a pppoe server which all of our clients connect to. The pppoe server has the ip address 10.1.1.1/8 assigned to the MT it, which allows us to manage our equipment from a pppoe account.
Problem:
When i connect to directly anywhere to our network and assign myself a 10.x.x.x address i receive a “duplicate ip address” error. Traced it back to the MT which was causing it. This is causing ip conflicts with our access points.
Additional Information:
I have VRRP setup and have the 10.1.1.1/8 address assigned under “/ip vrrp address” not manually under “/ip address”
Example of Access Points IP Adresses: 10.20.1.1, 10.21.1.1, 10.22.1.1, and so on…
Expected Solution:
I need to still be able to manage all my access points and equipment using a pppoe account. Plus, i need to get rid of this duplicate ip address error.
Suggestions on what i can do to fix this?
