IP addressing and CBT setup

Hello guys, i would like some help please, my challenge goes thus:

There are 2 seperate buildings on the fibre network. Both buildings are to be used for CBT exam, the CBT server ip/gateway is 192.168.2.1. I tried plugging both buildings to the subnet, but for some reasons im unable to ping the cbt server from the other building. Kindly assist please

please, i would appreciate making it as simple as possible
