IP hangs, but I still can access via MAC address

Since yesterday (and without any changes in physical setup or configuration) i’ve been having a really strange problem. Running v6.6 on a RB750G.

IP dies. I can’t ping the board, it doesn’t pass any traffic (or, apparently, it seems to pass it so slowly, ping just times out. some websites seem to load but so slow it’s unusable). The router doesn’t answer to DNS queries either.

BUT! I can still access the config interface via the router’s MAC address. DHCP (both client and server) still work, but that’s it. I disabled and re-enabled all interfaces and I still have the problem. The only solution is to restart the router.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I suspected of a hardware problem, so i replaced the power supply but the problem persists.

Restarting solves the problem? For how long? What’s the cpu usage?

yes, it happened 3 times already. about 8-10 hours between hangs.
cpu usage is 6%, but system/profile was empty.

May be an IP conflict in your LAN?

My thoughts exactly

Nope, it’s not that. The router also doesn’t respond to external services (it runs an IPSec service). I can’t connect to my LAN from outside via IPsec either.

Profile probably won’t show when using mac winbox

Can it ping itself when it dies? What interface is the ip you’re trying to access it on - is it a bridge or a port?

all ports, not running a bridge in this device. it can’t ping either.
earlier today it hung but I wasn’t even able to log in via MAC.

Are any supout files being generated?

no but i think i managed to generate one
