Hi guys,
I’m a Mikrotik fan and use your products for all of my projects.
I have a big problem, hope you can help me. I have a CHR in AWS with LOADS of configurations. By mistake I deleted the dhcp client. So the router has no IP.
I launched another instance instance in the same subnet and tryied to connect using the mac address, but is not working. The AWS network is not like a regular network. Also AWS doesn’t have a live view of the instance, you can only connect by SSH using an IP address.
Can you think of a solution?
Thanks in advance!!!
Download the volume and boot it locally in something like VMware workstation or VirtualBox. You can perform something like MAC Telnet their or just type /export from the console and copy down the settings.
Alternatively, detach the volume from the CHR and attach it to a Linux instance. Mount the file-system and see if you can find a configuration file. I think MikroTik uses ext3.
