IP PHONE + MIKROTIK

I have IPPBX server on my network and on that my network i have mikrotik server, but my mikrotik server WAN interface has direct connection with my IPPBX server which means they are both on thesame ip. The is problem i have one ip phone on thesame network with IPPBX server and another ip phone on the internal network of my mikrotik server, i can both of them active on the IPPBX but i dial but cant hear anything on the phone. which rule will i put on the mikrotik that will make it work for me. Thanks.

Soundsl ike you have a filter or firewall issue, or you could be doing a masq.

Basically something is blocking traffic that is needed.

Hi gentitope

Has anyone been able to assist you with your problem?

Just one question, do you somehow use port forwarding between you IPPBX and the non-working phone? I found that by simply forwarding port 5060 to the PBX does not work. My solution was to creat PPtP tunnels, but this was between several client sites being behind NAT firewalls.

I have not yet seen anybody that could help on this issue. one the phones is behind a linksys router and the other phones on thesame network with the NAT router WAN interface. The phone s on the LAN of the mikrotik works well as in they talk to each other but just the one behind the router that can call them but no voice at all. Pls, i need somebody to help me out ASAP. Thanks.

again, NAT issue, if your phones behind the linksys have the issue, then the Linksys is what you need to fix.

I really appreciate your reply but how do i fix the NAT issue with the linksys router. i tried putting two phones behind the NAT router too, both can talk to each other. Pls, help out!
Thanks

Hi gentitope,
the 5060 port is only used for sip signaling (REGISTER, INVITE,…).
For hear the voice on natted UA , I think that the easier way is to forward rtp ports from your NAT router to your Linksys.
Another way,if possible, is to advertise your IP PBX that the UA is behind NAT but I don’t know if your PBX can do this (for example with Asterisk this is a lot easier).
Take a look at the linksys settings, maybe you can find what are the rtp ports used, then forward the rtp port range from your nat router to your linksys.
I hope this help you!
