I’ve got a basic idea how to setup a routeros but can someone please explain ip/routes to me

You add a static route by adding a prefix and its length with a gateway. For non-broadcast networks that can be an interface rather than an IP address. Connected networks show up dynamically. Other routes may be populated by the routing protocols, which is well outside the scope of a forum post. Do you have a specific question?
