In winbox tools there is a IP Scan tool which is very convenient for scanning the network for a list of ip’s used and where assuming you edited system identity, is there a mac address equivalent to check for duplicate mac address’s which could occur if flashing upgrades or cloning devices and if all mac address’s used in the source were not removed in the *.rsc or txt file.
IP scans show you the IP and MAC address of all hosts seen on the network. If you had assigned a duplicate MAC address on a device but a different IP address you would see two entries for that MAC, one for each IP.
IP scan only show’s the mac address of the router it starts the scan from if run from the Dude but run Winbox no mac address’s are displayed, there is a column for mac address in the scan but there is no mac entries for ip address’s found.
It does show MAC addresses for me, see the screen shot below. The only entries that don’t have MAC addresses displayed are IP addresses implemented on the router the scan is running on.

Thanks Fewi but when i done a scan it only shows mac address’s of devices connected to each other by ethernet and when it picked up ip address’s from other units by wlan it does not display mac address’s, attached is a ip scan done from a 493 with 10 devices connected by ethernet the rest are wireless but no mac address’s ?
