I have a layer-2 device that filters broadcast traffic between CPE and the layer-2 device’s uplink. Below is a rough diagram.

In the past I’ve used Cisco routers with a higher ARP timeout to handle the problems caused by this. I was attempting to replace the Cisco router I currently have in place with a Mikrotik, but whenever I change the arp-timeout setting from 30s to 4h it appears to get ignored. Is the arp-timeout setting in fact where I should be changing the default arp cache timeout, and if so is there a known bug with 6.12 on a CCR1036-12G-4S on the SFP ports ignoring this setting?
