IP spotted in my hotspot

dear chupaka i know your the man with a very skills mind :slight_smile:

in my hotspot – hosts i spotted this IP 192.168.0.100 and recieving packets only but my hotspot network is 10.12.0.1/24 in ether4 this is my firstime i saw this strange situation i doubt he connect his router or something? it is correct if i block this ip in wall garden ip list and drop or reject? kick me if im wrong.

The user most probably has a static IP address assigned to his machine, you’re still seeing packets from it and in a correctly set up hotspot network he would be mapped behind an IP address in your pool, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

you right ome, the guy one of our guest in resort came to me he said why he cant access to outside but his connected to my hotspot and i check his machine i saw ip already asigned, hehe thanks for very informative reply!

by the way, chupaka is not familiar with hotspot (>_<)
