IP SuperNeting.

hi.

i have a routerboard1000 series. i configure a /22 (supernetNet) ip address on one ethernet interface. the thin is:

  1. almost 1000 computers are connecting to the router via that interface.

  2. i don’t have any routing protocol on the router.

  3. There are other routers (15 routers) that are bridge to this interface.

Can any one suggest a better structure for this my network?

do i need to enable any routing protocol for better traffic flow?

divide your /22 into smaller networks, route them together with those routers you have and place queues on each f those routers, this way unnecessary traffic will be dropped closer to clients and will not get to the main router (upload)

if i reroute with the other router, i have hotspot set on the main router, therefore, other clients do not see the login page once one person logged in from each of the routers

Remove all the masquerade NAT rules from all the internal routers. If you must use masquerade, configure it on the edge router router only.

if i remove the masquerade, do i have to define a static route on the main router? if yes how?

configure dynamic routing on all your routers using OSPF
