IP TELEPHONY REGION

Hi,

I am configuring a VoIP box using MT 2.7.

I use two LineJACKs and two GSM Terminals (CellLine AS). CellLine is a Telecom Italia preconfigured device.

In MT there is no ITALY under ip/telephony/region. So, I have refered to this page: http://nemesis.lonestar.org/reference/telecom/index.html and configured a “country”.

Now issue is that in Italy there is no continous dial tone. Another issue is: should I enable “detect-cpd” to apply this (of course I have changed region on both voice cards to italy.)

Idea of this is that when I call from another MT VoIP box, I want that call to be counted from the time when call is established in LineJACK/CellLine AS.

In one word to have proper signalization between two boxes. Right now, as soon as I dial a number 1st box assumes that call has been established.

I used to use both NO FAS and FAS on both boxes, assuming that this would help, but without success.

In addition to this I wnat to know how LineJACK under MT “speaks” with PSTN Line:

Using Dual Tone
Using Polarity Reverse and WINK

Is this have to do more with “data-access-arrangement” in region settings.

The line I wnat to use is an Italian one (according to documentaton it uses ‘Polarity Reversing’ for signalization.)

What “data-access-arrangement” is most suitlable for this kind on line?
