Hi there,
I’m experiencing an issue with my MT 751U-2HnD router and 2 iPhones 4/4S updated to iOS 6. Is well known at Apple support forums that iOS 6 have issues with some brands of Wifi devices, Netgear, HP and Linksys mainly. so I’m only the one in the forum, (I think), that own a MT AP, and it is having issues with my 4S iPhone, and my brothers 4 iPhone devices. We can connect to the AP, but we get a VERY intermittent network connection; After get connected I do pings to my router and it start to drop all packets after ping 9 or 10, after a few minutes I get an effective connection again by 10 secs or less and so on, the same is for my brother. So I can connect without issues to a PowerAP from UBTN at the office.
I did read at the Apple forum that the problem relies on a extra feature packet sent by the new iOS 6 to the AP, in some cases it freeze some APs, in other cases the phone is unable to connect to the Wifi network, in my case it can connect at Wifi level, (Layer 1), but TCP/IP protocol just doesn’t work well. That said, aren’t MT devices compatible with this “feature packet” there will be a fix for this issue?
I just can’t connect to my AP in my home because of this problem.
Best regards,
Oscar.
