Even with latest 6.44beta14 ROS I see unstability on ptp connections, when at least 1 device with IPQ4019 chipset is used.
My setup: couple of PtPs - shortest cca 1 km, longest 12km.
HW used: Disc ac, LHG XL ac, Dynadish
Ptp Dynadish works fine, ccq 99 - 100%
Disc ac ↔ Disc ac or LHG XLac ↔ LHG XL ac or LHG with Dynadish - ccq 99 - 100%, no matter the frequency (I tried also 100% clean frequencies 5900 > ),
CCQ remains high, Tx / Rx rate also, but capacity drops to cca 10 Mbit and latency jump from 0 - 1ms to 400ms. This repeats randomly.
please provide us more detailed info and send a support output file to support@mikrotik.com
What wireless protocol you are using?
How are you testing the speed/capacity?
How often do you see this problem?
Many devices from other manufacturers use the IPQ401x chipset without issue. I suspect the problem is more to do with Mikrotik’s proprietary driver than the ARM platform itself.
I am using 802.11
speed/capacity - just looking on winbox and pinging other side. MKs are linked @650Mb, ccq 98%. Actual trafic is 30 / 2 Mbits, latency 0-1ms. Suddenly latency jump to 400ms and traffic drops to 2 Mb cca. All parameters (rate, ccq, rssi remains same).
I see the problem very often, maybe every couple of minutes.
Testing with 6.44beta 20, took some time to have accurate results.
Overall quality and stability improved significantly, but the original problem remains. CCQ 98%, total BW cca 10 Mbit, Tx / Rx rate 650 Mbps, latency 0 - 1ms and the suddenly 400ms for couple of seconds.
