Hi! there are any plan to add IPS support on RouterOS?
Some option to verify if a incoming IP is spoofed or not?
Nice to prevent DDoS!

There is a danger in any product trying to be too many things to too many people. Integration with existing IDS/IPS platforms but be an easier approach.

Hello,

suricata or snort as a download able plugin package like the npkg files for all who
have the needs and want it and also for all others they don´t need it, as a good way
for choosing on which RouterBoard you want to install it or not.

And for the older RBs likes the RB435G, RB450G, RB493G, RB600 and RB800 and so on
perhaps something like a mini PCI card that is taking the load from the cpu of this
RouterBoards and speeding up the deep packet inspection enormously, because the
IPS is a little bit to hard for this older RouterBoards.

It may also be too much to handle for the PCI bus :wink:
