I am trying to set up an IPSec VPN connection between a Mikrotik Router at the office and my laptop at my house.
I don’t need or want to set up the VPN between the Mikrotik and my home router because I need to be able to access the network from other places. I am using IPSecuritas as a software VPN client, and have followed the instructions on this wiki to setup an IPSec VPN between Mikrotik and Cisco but haven’t been able get it to connect. If has instructions to help I would really appreciate them.
Thanks

Any particular reason why it needs to be IPSec?
and you can have LAN to LAN VPNs and connect with road warriors at the same time so having a dedicated link to your home shouldn’t impact your ability to connect to either network from wherever.
No it doesn’t specifically need to be IPSec but the client software I am using is IPSec software. If you have a suggestion for Mac OSX compatible software that works with Mikrotik I’m game to try.

PPTP works fine on OSX 10.4 and 10.5
Is IPSec difficult to setup or Mikrotik make it difficult to setup ?
I am having problem to setup IPSec VPN MacOS client ----> Mikrotik, which seems no one can help
For me l2tp-ipsec works great between MacOS road warriors and ROS. Do you use PSKs or Certs?
