IPTV Problem RB2011UAS-2HnD

Hi,

I can’t seem to get IPTV working with RB2011UAS-2HnD router. I have set up IGMP-Proxy with gateway as upstream interface and ether2 as the IPTV digibox. I don’t see any IGMP-traffic action happening in the router.. When I enter command: routing igmp-proxy interface print it shows that both interfaces are inactive BUT when I add my bridge-local interface gateway becomes active and bridge becomes dynamic and traffic is shown on the router. Still no picture is displayed..

I think that bridge-local is somehow messing with my configuration?
Any suggestions please?

It could be a variety of things. Is the IPTV box on an interface which is a port member of the bridge? Also - check if you have allowed any other subnets on the upstream interface. IPTV providers often send traffic from a subnet different from your WAN interface subnet. The easiest way to check is add 0.0.0.0/0 as an allowed network on the upstream interface and see if traffic flows.

Hi, thx for the answer!
I have configured alternative subnets to be 0.0.0.0/0 but the problem still persists.
Can I remove ports from bridge interface or does that effect on my routing?

You would be best to upload your config (output from /export compact) and describe the layout of the network - e.g. what is connected to each port.

Multicast package broken in router os 6 version.

Quite possibly…

@OP - use latest ROS v5 - not v6.

Hi,
Thanks for the answers! Export compact output can be found from the attachments as well as my topology.
I have V5 not V6.

You are dropping everything on the input chain for Ether 1 so IGMP proxy cannot work.

Try allowing:

IGMP
Established Connections
Related Connections

On the input chain for Ether1
