IPTV stuttering issue on HAP AC

I have an issue with IPTV from my ISP. I installed the multicast package and It works after I configured the IGMP proxy and the necessary firewall rules.

I tried few things including enabling IGMP snooping on the bridge interface, but no luck. It’s still stuttering and quality is generally degraded. Just as additional information, I’m consuming the IPTV on an AppleTV device connected via WiFi.

Currently I’m on a 1Gbit/s FTTH line and with FritzBox I don’t have any of these issues. It just works flawlessly. Generally I’m not impressed with the performance of the HAP AC, I don’t see numbers anywhere near the published statistics from MikroTik, and I have FastTrack enabled (working) and very few additional firewall rules (related to IGMP, 12 in total).

Any idea how to fix this issue?

Start by providing your config on MT so we can see if we can assist, run “export hide-sensitive” in terminal window, copy and paste results

Turn on multicast helper on the wireless of the hap device, that should fix it
