Hi everyone, i need help with these IPv6 Network.
My scenario:
I am WISP and i have actually 1800 customers with IPv4.
My superior ISP told me that i need to return some /24 Class C Because the gave to me some time ago wen i started with the business.
I have bought an ASN in LACNIC and i have 2 Peers BGP and 2 VLANS with IPV4 and IPV6 respectively. Now i have my Ipv6 “/32”.
I am wondering if i would need to split or subnet these /32, As i am going to deploy an IpTV network over FTTH and i am thinking about give one subnet network to customers with Internet, and another network to customers with Internet + IPTV.
That could let me free some clases C /24 to return to my ISP.
1)How i could subnet my network /32 and give (i don’t know…) may be /64 prefixes ?
2) it is better to give public address or all devices?
3) or could be better to use self link addresses for private devices like Cell Phones inside a customer network?
Another Questions:
- its Dual Stack with IPv4 (with NAT and private IP) and IPV6 running well?
(A beginer of IPV6 question)
2) Someone have deployed IPv6 without dual stack? I mean runing end to end with IPv6? it is imposible, Isn’t it? Because we will need that the whole network were implemented with IPV6. (i am saying that there are a lot of sites and services that havent deployed ipv6 yet.) Only the bigest companies like Google, Netflix, Facebook. Etc.
