Hello!
Maybe a bit newbie question, but still. I have a CRS309-1G-8S+ switch with latest RouterOS (7.20.4), which I am using as a router/NAT with a 10Gbit uplink.
All is working fine, I’ve managed to get full HW NAT offload for IPv4 traffic and get almost wire speed, around 9Gbit/s+ on NAT.
Now I want to get the same for IPv6 (without NAT, obviously), but it seems that it doesn’t work the same way. I’ve read the L3 Offload help article and it seems that IPv6 Unicast Routing should be actually offloaded too if I get it correctly.
But when I create a fasttrack rule to offload Related/Established connections in the IPv6 firewall I don’t see HW Offload checkbox like in IPv4. Though fasttrack actually works, I get around 1.5Gbit/s with it and 300Mbit without, it’s nowhere near wire speed.
The IPv6 HW is enabled on the switch, of course.
In the IPv6 routing table I see only the route to my LAN interface that is marked as HW OFFLOADEDand the rest isn’t (e.g. default gateway) - not sure that is relevant though.
Any help would be appreciated. Or I shouldn’t expect much from this rather inexpensive switch? ![]()
Thanks in advance.
