We have a Nokia DF-16 XGS-PON OLTs behind a CRS518-16XS-2XQ. The DF-16 intercepts DHCPv6 Traffic to insert the Circuit-ID and other information into the requests and the forwards it via IPv6 LDRA - Lightweight DHCPv6 Relay Agent (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6221)
The resulting packet is a “normal” IPV6 Multicast packet with destination ff02::1:2. But this Multicast Packet die not get L2 forwarded to the upstream port.
We can see that packet on the ingress port but not the egress port. Attached is a pcap of the missing packet.
DHCPv6 Packets with message type 1 (Solicit) pass the switch with no problems. But the packet in question has message type 12 (Relay-forward) does not pass the switch.
Any ideas?
