IPV6 settings in Router os 7.19 via PPPoE over SLAAC dual stack

Router gets a ipv6 address but other devices don’t get ipv6 address.
2404::8/64 (removed partially) connection type Dynamic.

TP Link router gets ipv6 for all connected devices

  • First, you should turn back on IPv6 Forward under IPv6 → Settings.
/ipv6 settings set forward=yes

  • Then because you use PPPoE for your WAN, which is point-to-point, you should not set add-default-route=yes in your DHCPv6 Client setting. Turn that off because the default gateway is already the other peer of the PPPoE tunnel.

  • Other Configuration can also be turned off for the IPv6 → ND instance.

I would also remove the prefix hint form dhcp v6 client. And double check if the dynamic pool is created with something bigger than /64 (usually /56).

And, for ND, as this is PPPoE, I would announce 1492 as network MTU.

  1. First, check that you are receiving any pool from your provider via DHCPv6 Client.
  2. Considering that you are only requesting a pool from your provider, I would set the EUI64 parameter in the “/ipv6 address” settings.
