I’m looking for the OID or OIDs to use to monitor IPv6 traffic on my interfaces so I can compare it with IPv4.
It seems that MikroTik does not support these values in the MIBs. I have some Cisco switches and routers. The OID’s look to be:
ipIfStatsHCInForwDatagrams.ipv6
ipIfStatsHCOutOctets.ipv6
ipIfStatsHCOutMcastOctets.ipv6
ipIfStatsHCInMcastOctets.ipv6
I know NetFlow could detect the differences as well but I’m not in a position to run or test that at the moment.
Please let me know what you guys think. This will become increasingly important to help me demonstrate IPv6 adoption just by “flipping” the switch and turning IPv6 on. I’ve also submitted this via EMAIL to MikroTik to get their take on it as well behind the scenes. I will post any information I get here for reference.
