Is anyone using ROS DHCP that maintains >1000 leases?

How is that working out? On routerboard or x86?

1000 could work, but RADIUS server should be used for managing the leases, but the question >1000 on the same network does not sound as proper setup. Perhaps it would be good idea to split them to different interface or work with VLAN to separate them.

Hi

On networks where new devices are connected every day lease table can grow quickly. It does not mean there would be 1000 active clients on the network. In essence I want to know how efficient DHCP database is for search addition and record removal?

Decrease lease time to give room for quick recovery! In one of my campus hotspot, I am using 0.0.0.0/12, about three thousand addresses to reach all the student and has been working fine since last 2years. so i dont see anyproblem with that. One in a while flush the system lease table if i too many idle ip addresses.

Also i reduce the lease time to 12hours!
