Is downgrading firmware needed when downgrading RouterOS?

Hi,
Recently I had problem with my client connecting wirelessly to RB433 which was on RouterOS 4.10. After trying few tweaks I decided to upgrade RouterOS. So I did upgrade to 4.17->firmware upgrade->5.26->firmware upgrade. But the client was still not connecting, so I tried to upgrade more, so go for 6.40.2 → firmware upgrade.
After that I saw that another client which was connecting properly with 5.26 is not connecting anymore.
So I would like to go back to 5.26.
My question is:
The latest firmware for 5.26 was 3.09.
Now with 6.40.2 I have firmware upgraded to 3.41.

Will RB433 work OK with 5.26 RouterOS and 3.41 firmware? Or should I downgrade firmware first to 3.09?

Definitely NO.

Also, it is much better to resolve the connection issue than to downgrade. v6.40.3 works great on this device, so I strongly advise against downgrade.

You should not downgrade firmware (RouterBOOT).
