“Abandoned” is seem right. No new docs, still on website, but no updates in years… No official communication AFAIK.
Dude does a couple things, visually showing up/down/etc on a “map” & tracking statistics/logs/etc. And, still works just fine…just old…but since it doesn’t change, little chance it to be broken

Alternatives depend. If it’s more tracking/logging, then @Jonte’s SPLUNK (http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/tool-using-splunk-to-analyse-mikrotik-logs-4-0-graphing-everything/153043/1 Splunk costs $, but at smaller RouterOS sizes, it’s free),
OR, Prometheus/Grafana are more OSS ( https://prometheus.io/docs/visualization/grafana/ https://prometheus.io ).
I don’t know what the current “map” based things, but Zabbix is likely better at the “monitoring” side. But never used Zabbix, so dunno.
