Is Graphing "Store on Disk" bad for RouterBoard NAND?

Hello MikroTik:

Can you please tell me if Graphing “Store on Disk” option is bad for RouterBoard NAND storage device (RB411AH specifically)?

If so how many sector writes can we expect before problems occur?

Thank you, Jeff

You shouldn’t worry about graphing. Logging is fine too, but if you want to store massive amounts of logs (like webproxy logs) then better use remote location. Same for graphs - a few graphs is ok, but if you want hundreds of queues to be graphed, better use SNMP or some other solution

What do you think about running metarouter 24x7? Does it hurt the NAND?

Thanks
Gokalp

If the OS in the metarouter is not constantly storing some information on disk, then there should be no difference.
