As I write this title, Is it important to upgrade routerboard firmware??

I don’t know why upgrade firmware.

You must read the firmware changelog for fixes. This will determine if it is important or not for you. Depends on use and config of your devices. It is recommended install latest version. This can make you save time by solving problems in some configs or scenarios.

you can see what kind of changes the RoutrBOOT updates usually include:

if some version is not listed, it means we added support for a new model of the same CPU family, but did not want to reveal it yet

if you using firmware version of the product Mikrotik. This method is applicable for almost all products on the market mikrotik.

Check the firmware version of mikrotik:
By using Winbox, go into terminal and type: / system routerboard then enter

procedure to upgrade the firmware version:

  1. type in terminal: / system routerboard, then enter
  2. after entry into the system routerboard directory, type: upgrade and then enter. select y (yes) to continue the upgrade process
  3. wait a few moments to complete mikrotik firmware upgrade process
  4. reboot mikrotik
