Is it normal for a Mikrotik RB411 to repeatedly completely lose connectivity for a few seconds?

I was given, gratis, a Mikrotik RB411/R52n-M and 18VDC 1Amp POE, so I connected it to my SOHO router to see what I could do with it (for fun).
I have only had it for two days, but, already, I have noticed that about a dozen times while I was using the RouterOS software, it simply disconnected on me.

So I opened up a command window in WinXP and ran a “ping -t” to see what was going on with the Mikrotik radio.

I noticed that periodically, it would just lose connectivity for about a second or two.

It’s not a big deal in practice - but it does seem odd to simply lose connectivity for no obvious reason.

In practice, this isn’t a big deal - so my only question is whether this is “normal” for the Mikrotik RB411 or not.

See the log.

Signal is too strong. Keep it around -50 dbm.

update the device to the last current firmware or try to change adapter
