Is it possible to add Audience units to an HAP ax2 to create a mesh?

Hi,

I bought an HAP ax2 with the intention of using it in “station” mode for tethering to my cellphone as a backup. However I moved house and now I have no cellular signal indoors, and I’ve discovered that I need a mesh network because the walls are too thick.

So can I use the HAP ax2 as the wired connection point for a mesh, and just add a couple of Audience units to place around the house without wired connection?

Whilst I’m thinking about it, would it be possible to place an Audience unit with LTE kit next to a window without any wired connection, and use that as a backup connection?

Pretty sure you are going to have to wire one Audience.

It would be a waste to have to wire one Audience as all the cabling is in one room, and I need the HAP ax2 and Cloud series there in order to connect 10 wired devices.

If you install the wifiwave2 package on the Audience, you’d should be able to bridge the network to hAPax2.
