Is it possible to enable Lan Interface 2.5G on CCR1036-12G-4S ?

Hello.

Currently I put my ‘CCR1036-12G-4S’ at the ‘Data Center’. In my contract with the IDC, they told me that they give me the UTP Cat6 RJ45 by throughput 2G for each. If i enable interface in ‘CCR1036-12G-4S’ to full 2.5G as picture below. It will work or not? Are there someone used to connect UTP with the CCR speed more than 1GB. If you have any suggestion. Please share your technique. Please accept my most extreme thanks in advanced.

The S+RJ10 will autonegotiate to any speed it supports in the CCR1036. I ran mine at 5G for a while before I could run fiber.

Apologize, what does the S+RJ10 mean ?

Extreme thanks in advanced.

Now i understand the interface S+RJ10. It’s SFP module convert to RJ45. Thanks you so much my friend. God bless you and your families.

Yes, that’s true, but I misled you, sorry. I missed that you have a CCR1036-12G-2S. The S+RJ10 is a 10G SFP+ module and will not work in your SFP ports.

So no, there is no way to make any of your ports run at 2.5G, sorry. You’ll need to upgrade to something with a 10G SFP+ port (‘S+’ in MT parlance) to make that happen.

Excuses for the confusion.

Thank you so much my friends. I appreciate to upgrade my CCR 1036 to CCR1036-8G-2S+. Your answer was useful for me. Have nice.
