Hi, I was wondering if it it possible to send network messaging to active users? E.g. to let them know that you are going to reboot the router in 5 minutes.
If it is not possible yet then I guess that this is a useful feature request. Please vote for this here if you agree!
where and how would these users see the message? how about privacy issues and firewalls on their windows/whatever PCs?
how, when our network set to far far way by roaming or repeater…?

our services: dedicated line, pppoe client, pppoe-server, hotspot, iDirrect line… everthing on one base as centralized.. for wire and unwire
hey .. why wouldn’t you make it possible to send message to active users like let’s say example NetSend would be perfect and what about router to router communication like when setting up a point to point like tell him to move the antenna to get a better signal or whatever …

If memory serves, the messenger service is disabled automatically as of SP2. If nothing else, the firewall will block the message.
Email might be the best answer, although not as timely.
Or develop a new client/server based solution for sensitive users.
