DS3 → Routberboard → CMM → 3 Canopy Aps
Clients off AP1 are on a /25; Clients off AP2 are on another /25 etc.; each AP is a /30; Cmm is a /30.
Is there anything that could be done in the Mikrotik to futher “unbridge” the network?
I believe the CMMmicro supports 802.1q VLANs. You could build a sibif (VLAN) for each port on the CMM and break your clusters up that way. Also, have you heard of PacketFlux? You could throw that stupid CMM away and replace it with a syn injector and use your own switch/router etc. I have also had very good luck with PPPOE and the new canopy build. (just food for thought)
Just don’t forget to put the CMM in the native vlan.
Cheers,
Last I checked (2.2 software) it only supports a management VLAN. You can however use port based switching to isolate certain ports from each other.
We selected another approach to connect Canopys (PMP320s).
We dont use CMM at all. We use EOIP to connect them together
to a central MT-Box. There we can do bridge filtering.
We’ll use UGPs for sync so we can save the money and space
for this CMMs and let MT do the job.
