Is it possible too...

Is it possible with a rb 750 or any rb to throttle a ip address that is not set up as a route and/or is routed by the rb?

I don’t want to throttle by physical port i.e eth1 eth2 etc.. I just want to put a rb inline with a internet connection and grab a IP that is switched or bridged threw it and throttle it.

Can this be done?

Yes. Bridge the two ports, enable the IP firewall from the bridge, proceed as you would in routed mode.

What I proceed is to use is simple queues. Add the IP there. I have tried this but still cant slow down that floating IP that I am not routing.

Could you elaborate specifically on after enabling IP firewall from the bridge?

Thank you for you time.
