Is mikrotik rb750gr3 compatible with Brume (GL-MV1000) Edge Computing Gateway?

I have long wanted to get a VPN installed to my MikroTik router. After years of waiting, it seems like neither OpenVPN nor Wireguard will ever really happen, so I am looking for workarounds. I have come across this device which Amazon reviewers mentioned works as a VPN client in conjunction with their router:

I would ask for opinions as to likelihood it will be compatible with my rb750gr3, and finally let me have a router-based VPN using Wireguard or OpenVPN? I know little about this stuff (had to have my computer tech set up the MikroTik), so this may be a stupid question. I’m not rich, so at $129 for the device, plus $50-$100 for the tech housecall, I’d rather not invest in this til I know there is a good chance for success. Is this a viable workaround or not?

As RouterOS 7 finally emerged some months ago, both wireguard and OpenVPN over UDP are now available, albeit still in beta version.

However, nothing prevents you from using the Brume together with or instead of the hEX. Both have have Ethernet interfaces so you can connect one of them to the uplink and the other one to its LAN.
