Hi,
I’m trying to upgrade my devices to 7.12 but keep getting an “ERROR: connection timed out” whenever checking for updates.
Is there a problem with Mikrotik’s update site ?
K.
In response to your query, I happen to be connected to one of my routers (an RB750r2), so I did a check for updates. It immediately found that that there was an update (stable channel) from 6.49.8 to 6.49.10. The router was able to download the update just fine.
One more note. I just checked on my RB750Gr3 and it updated from 6.49.8 to 7.12
So, yes, the update site is working…
Just updated 4 devices at home and 16 remotely at customer premise (capsman installation, so first controller and 15 caps having the same architecture went with 1 click on “Upgrade”).
All from 7.12rc or 7.11.2 to latest 7.12.
No problems except for 1 AX Lite which would not update automatically. I had to download the files manually and drop them on Files. But since it is a test lab device, there might be a config issue there.
Other AX Lite LTE went without any hitch.
Nevermind… had a NAT configuration issue on my OPNsense box. Thanks for having checked.
Funny how so many posters blame everything (including inanimate objects) for their failures. ![]()
