We have a 5ghz link 3km with a -51 rssi and we seem to be getting lower speeds than our other link 9km with a rssi of -68.
Link with -68 rssi is running non turbo and gets speed of 24/24 TCP in ROS BW test.
Link with -51 rssi is running non turbo and gets speed of about 15/20 TCP in ROS BW test.
Cards are WLM54AG/WLM54AG and WLM54AG/CM6, the CM6 is the link with beter signal but slower speed.
Do you think we need to turn down radio power to get speeds as fast as they can go ? I though radios were only overpowered at -45 rssi and higher
Thanks
What is the ack timeout on the links? Does the link have LOS or are there obstructions? When bandwidth testing are you going through the unit or is the units themselves generating the packets. Are there any other 5ghz equip around? Does the box running the link have 2 radios in it? (is so what frequencies?)
I would doubt it is the signal strength but that is very easily tested, so try it, if it still happens please answer as many questions above as possible.

Wierd first time I have seen this but its not displayed

100% LOS

Doing it on the boxes, They are both pc routers over 700Mhz though, the other link speed test was also done on the routers.

Only the other half of the ptp link, channels are 5600 and 5700 giving 100mhz seperation is this too close ?

One Box has 4 radios 3x 2.4Ghz 1x 5Ghz other has 3 radios 2x 5ghz (5600Mhz, 5700Mhz) and a 2.4Ghz

The ccq is on average about 85/70
Thanks for your help
Thanks Mythoughts !
I moved my channels further apart and im now getting 37 mbit TCP on ros BW test doing them on the boxes.
I am impressed with this result for only G cards running non turbo.
Thanks
