Hi I have problem to block only this p2p client, other are blocked well. Is that possible to block it in ROS 2.9. I know that it can be done using ROS 3, but I cant upgrade to ROS v3.
you will have problems to block any encrypted p2p as you will need to decrypt packets first to see what these are.
as a suggestion, if you need to limit encrypted p2p, use PCQ on all the users, so no more headache about one users abusing all the traffic available.
I am using pcq on all users, but I was thinking to limit it
if you are using PCQ, then each user gets its share of the available resources, and someone who uses encrypted traffic will not be able to use more that he/she is allowed and wont affect other users.
The problem is that almost all ISPs use a contention factor to make the business viable. I you were to tolerate customers consuming all their available bandwidth all the time, you would have to charge them for “dedicated” bandwidth
So, just using PCQ is not a solution.
