My question : is possible to replace in my LAN , the two routers (SOHO BROADBAND ROUTER) with a single RB750G ?
My LAN is 192.168.1.0/24
The first router have IP 192.168.1.1 lan side and 192.168.10.2 wan side and is connected to adsl modem/router (192.168.10.1) using NAT
The second router have IP 192.168.1.254 lan side and 192.168.0.127 wan side and is connected to adsl modem/router (192.168.0.1) and also connected to file server (192.168.0.64) , using NAT
In the first router i have added a static route 192.168.0.0/24 gw 192.168.1.254 , if in my pc the default gateway is set the router 1 , access to file server is allowed.
Yes you can do this with RouterOS. You can do a lot of stuff with it.
I wonder why did you put the file server between the adsl model and the router? You can put it phisically in the lan and assign the same ip as now, this will free up a switch.
the LAN 1 (blue) is my house , LAN2 (purple) is my parent’s house and File Server is my old computer. My house and my parent’s house are connected with wireless link. I use my adsl normally, and i use my parent’s adsl when my is down or busy.
Currently just change the gateway ip on my PC to change ADSL ( from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254) but only using the RB750 as I do?
