Is PPPoE the secure connection to use?

I want to connect two remote locations with a very secure connection, authentication method. Example= A bank in Houston wants a secure connection with a sister bank in Orlando via the Internet. I want to put a routerboard at one bank and a routerboard at the other bank and securely transfer data without the worries of someone else seeing that data. Should I use Ethernet tunnel, PPPoE or something else? Please give me information thank you.

you can use IPSEC and/or over another VPN protocol

Max

you can’t use pppoe in a situation like this - pppoe is for connecting clients in one network. to join remote locations use IpSec, L2TP or something like that.

Yes you can!
PPTP → EoIP → PPPoE

HAHA talk about some serious overhead.
