Is the RB951G-2hnd a stable product?

Now that the RB951G-2hnd has been out for a little while, is it a stable board? Is anyone using it in production with wireless that can comment on this board versus the older RB751-2hnd?

I tried using the smaller RB951-2n units in the past, which had horrible wireless problems. Have those problems been fixed on the RB951-2n? Does the RB951G-2hnd suffer the same problems as the 951-2n or the same problems as the 751-2hnd?

I think the main wireless problem of 951-2n was resolved with the last version of routeros (past version 5.22). I use 951g-2hnd for 1 month - very powerful and stable product, better than 751 series.

Only one problem. RB951 don´t have connector for external antenna :frowning:

That is good to hear. Thank you for the information.

So, realistically, with the internal antennas, how does the signal range and quality of the RB951G-2hnd compare with other routers that only have internal antennas (like Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, etc… they all have internal antennas without any external connector).

Is the RB951G-2hnd at least as good as those other brand routers? (I’m talking ONLY about wireless quality and range… NOT other features)

The 951G works real nice for me. After updating to 6.0rc12, even my Verizon UML290 USB LTE modem is surprisingly ver stable. Simple, cost effective, and powerful. A definite recommend!!

Wifi in 951G has significantly improved and it is better than 751G. My laptop now does ~44-50Mbps in speedtest without issues. On the previous router it wasn’t even possible to get close to 30Mbps, no matter what configuration I used. Each device connects very fast with the AP. My laptop can finally establish a connection at 135 tx-speed, but I noticed that after a while the tx-speed usually drops to a lower level. It might be due to interference, but I am not sure.
