I’m new to mikrotik/ winbox but have worked with networking / firewalls on and off for a while.
I’m really struggling to understand which components are responsible for what eg do I run multiple DHCP servers each with their own pool or do I have 1 pool and use address to split.
What would be really useful would be docs that describe eg:
Address structure - use for …
DHCP server - single. Serves pools of addresses
Pools - ip address ranges offered by the DHCP server each attached to an interface
NB for any novice readers - the above is for example only. I could be completely wrong on the descriptions.
