Is there a way to capture the passphrase used to associate?

There is a device with a Tuya chip that is attempting to connect to my WIFI. I have its mac blocked via the access list but it continues to try every 2-3 seconds. If I accept it via the access list, then it tries to repeatedly associate. I would like to know if it is trying a brute-force association by generating a new passphrase each attempt. Although related but off topic, is there a way to track down where the device is located?

I got rid of it, at least for now. Once it had found me, neither changing the SSID nor not broadcasting the SSID made a difference. It kept trying to connect. I changed the radio mac address, along with not broadcasting the SSID, and it has been gone for a day.
