Is there any compatible miniPCI to 1G/2.5G ethernet port peripheral?

My routerboard is with 10/100 ethernet ports, which are kinda outdated. It has miniPCI slots.
I wonder if there is any compatible miniPCI to 1G/2.5G ethernet port peripheral to make it upgrade? If there is none, I hope MikroTik could sell it. I think it would be a good business!

Which routerboard do you have?

Mini PCIe to ethernet 1 GB or 2.5 GB cards do exist, but besides their dubious compatibility with Mikrotik ROS, they are not very cheap, as an example DeLock 95265 or 95271, if your routerboard has low ram/storage it might be advisable to get a newer, more powerful, routerboard.

Thank you for your reply. Unluckily, my routerboard RB433AH doesn’t have miniPCI-E slot, but it has miniPCI one.

Ah well, my bad.

Usually the problem is that when you install a gigabit network port, you will also expect gigabit routing performance.
But this old device has only a single-core 600MHz MIPSBE processor, and it will likely not be able to do that.
So unfortunately you may have to look for a new routerboard, but it will depend on your detailed requirements which one will be best.
(maybe now you want a complete router instead of a bare board)
