Is there any way to upgrade my LHG CAT4 modem to a CAT18 one?

I wanna see if an upgraded LTE modem would give me more speed but i dont want to buy a whole new CPE for it.

I know that cat 18 modem is embedded and not replaceable. For now there isn’t cat 18 modem minipci-e from Mikrotik. For now 2 options:

  1. Wait… Also see future 5G outdoor solutions. Maybe will be best than LHG18.

  2. Replace your actual LHG and buy LHG18.

If you see LHG18 uses a Quectel LTE-A EG18 chip, but it not offers a pluggable card, only the chip itself that needs to be soldered directly on PCB.

Regards.

And it looks like only the ep-06 (cat 6) will work natively as all the others that do not require soldering are keyed for m.2 slots:

Doing a quick search it looks like there are some mini pcie to m.2 slot converters but IDK how well they will work to be honest
